There are two deputies assigned to the Wise County courthouse. These deputies act as bailiffs for their assigned courtroom and provide security for the courthouse.
Deputy Dick Wood is assigned to the 271st Judicial District Court, which covers both Wise and Jack Counties. All felony cases that occur in Wise and Jack Counties are tried in District Court.
	Deputy Kirk Gibson is assigned to the Wise County Criminal Court at Law, which hears all Class A and B misdemeanor cases. When the County Court at Law is not in session, Kirk serves misdemeanor warrants that are issued by the County Court.
