DRUG ARRESTS MADE BY WISE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
The months of December,
2007, and early January, 2008, were a busy time for the investigators at the
Sheriff’s Office. Officers arrested several subjects on charges of possession
of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and incidents of
manufacturing/delivering of a controlled substance. Search warrants were
executed at several locations, resulting in the arrest of eleven individuals on
drug related charges.
On Dec. 4, 2007, officers arrested Daniel Bentley, 22, of Bridgeport,
Noah Burch, 26, of Denton, and Amanda Hutto, 20, of Paradise. They were arrested
at a residence in Runaway Bay and all three were charged with possession of a
controlled substance. The three were brought to jail and bond was set at $1500
for all three individuals. Bentley and Hutto bonded out of custody, but Burch
remains in Wise County Jail.
On
Dec. 27, 2007, officers executed a search warrant at a residence
on North Hwy 101. Alvin St. John, 50, of Chico, was arrested and charged
with three separate charges of possession of a controlled substance. He was
brought to Wise County Jail and remains in custody with a total bond amount set
at $50,000.
On
Dec. 28, 2007, officers executed a search warrant at a residence north of
Decatur on FM 730N. The officers arrested Matthew Schmitz 22, Justin Brooks, 22,
Isaac Bustillos, 33, Mary Metcalf,
22, and Andrea Vick, 18, all of Decatur, for possession of marijuana, under 2
ounces and bond was set for each at $1500. Cody Moore, 18, also of Decatur, and
living at the same residence, was arrested for possession of a controlled
substance and bond was set at $15,000. All six residents made bond and were
released from custody.
On
Jan. 3, 2008, information was received that there was a possible drug lab at a
residence on N. Davis Street, in Chico. Investigating officers found several
items used in the manufacture of methamphetamines. It was discovered that Dustin
Strouth, 21, of Chico had purchased
them. A felony charge for the manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance
will be filled with the District Attorneys office.
Officers responded to a family disturbance that occurred at a
residence on CR 1650, Dustin Strouth was at the residence and was arrested for
three separate charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of
marijuana . A bond of $50,000 was set for Strouth, who is still in custody at
the Wise County Jail.
