03-30-2007    Oilfield Tools Stolen

On 03-29-07, Wise County Deputy Michelle Murphree was sent to the 800 block of CR 3250 to meet with an employee of Energy Service Company from Bowie regarding the theft of numerous oilfield tools from a vehicle left at a Devon Energy well lease site. Energy Service Company representative Raymond Allison stated the tools taken were the type of tools used in the oilfield profession. The vehicle was just moved from another well site on 03-28-07 to the well site on CR 3250 and the tools were taken out of the truck toolboxes.

 The tools reported stolen are:

1-16 INCH PIPE WRENCH                       1-36 INCH PIPE WRENCH

1-SHOP HAMMER                                  2-FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

1-CASE OF TRANSMISSION FLUID        1-CASE OF GREASE OIL

1-COMPLETE SCREWDRIVER SET         1-PLYERS

1-GREASE GUN                                      2-3/4 INCH CHAIN 12 FT LONG

5-3/4 INCH CHAIN 4 FT LONG                1-SHOVEL

UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF PIPE FITTINGS  1-HEATING PIPE FOR BABEL (LEAD)

 Anyone with information on the theft of these tools or any other theft report is asked to call the Wise County Sheriff’s Office at 940-627-5971, or Wise County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-643-8477. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $ 1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of a suspect.
