 June 25, 2008

On June 24, 2008 Wise County Sheriff’s Deputies took a report where the maintenance building of the Paradise ISD had been entered and numerous items were taken.  At that time there were no listed suspects.

On June 25, 2008 around 2:00 am Deputy Barney Graham responded to reported suspicious vehicles at the Paradise ISD maintenance building.  When Graham arrived he was told of two trucks seen behind the school near the maintenance building.  Graham’s investigation located the two trucks near the fuel tanks of the school.  As Graham made his way to where the trucks were, they began to leave.  Deputy Graham activated his emergency lights and neither vehicle yielded or stopped.  A pursuit was initiated with the vehicles going in opposite directions at an intersection.  The vehicle pursed by Deputy Graham eventually stopped near the intersection of Old Town Rd and Sunflower.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Thresea Gail Cappaert W/F DOB 01/05/1988 of Fort Worth, Texas.  Numerous tools and other items were found in the truck  and was later identified by school personnel as having been taken from the maintenance building.  Some of which had been taken in the burglary reported on the day before.  Cappaert was booked into the Wise County Jail for evading arrest w/ vehicle, and burglary of a building.    Investigators Mike Neagle and Josh Reynolds were called to the scene.  During the course of the investigation, investigators were lead to Fort Worth where other property was recovered and the remaining suspects were identified.  Investigators are now preparing arrest warrant affidavits for the remaining suspects.
