Responsibilities

The County Clerk's office is responsible for keeping your records. I sincerely appreciate your trust in maintaining the records from sovereignty to infinity.

Records

As you view all the departments of my office, you will find that the records kept here hold people's entire lives. They include vital records (birth, death, and marriage); property records; and court records (misdemeanor criminal, civil cases up to $250,000, and probate). Some records you may not know are recorded with the County Clerk include livestock brands and assumed name certificates (also known as a D.B.A. for doing business as).

Also, one of my official duties is to serve as the Ex-officio clerk of the Commissioners' Court, recording the minutes of the Court's activities.
